The adventures we have shared together never
cease to amaze me. I love what we have been
through, where we are right now, and everything
we have to look forward to. What makes

Our adult children visited to honor you on
your birthday. And tomorrow we celebrate
another milestone: our wedding anniversary.

My brother and Beth are getting a coastal storm in Winston Salem NC. I don’t know whether it was yesterday or today. The sun is shining brightly here. No hope of more snow right now.
We had planned to go to Charlotte (2.5 hours away) to see grandson Nathaniel tomorrow. He tested positive for COVID yesterday and must quarantine for five days. He feels like he has a bad cold.
It was 23 degrees when we walked this morning, but I’m sure it’s warmer now. I’m going for a walk with neighbor Shawn in a few minutes.

Happy walking. It was -5 air temperature with a -19 wind chill around 9 AM. The warmest it got was about 21 above. Sorry to hear about Nathaniel. Quercetin is over the counter. Zinc with vitamin C, D and quercetin are great to take. I made a homemade recipe for a neighbor. Take 3 grapefruit, 3 lemons and scrub outside very well. Remove the fruit and save the lemon juice or drink. Cut the peels in pieces of about 2″ and cover with distilled water. Bring to a boil and then simmer covered for 3 hours. Leave it lidded and cool down. You take about 1 tablespoon every couple of hours for a couple days and then less often and stop when you start to feel better. I made ice cubes and the rest I put in a freezer bag. It can be mixed with honey, but we tried it as is. Just a strong taste. It works. Maybe Nathaniel can find a video of this homemade “brew.” Lots of ice outside now too. We’ll get light snow tonight. Now we shall enjoy a salmon dinner for our anniversary. Be well. oxox

I’ll pass along your advice. The lemon/grapefruit concoction would appeal to the chef in Nathaniel. I don’t know that he has anyone to fetch the ingredients, though.

The concoction is made with just the rinds. I found that getting the lemon rinds more difficult. Squeeze the juice of the lemons first. Healthy brew. The salmon was tasty. Be well and best wishes for a speedy recovery to Nathaniel. oxox

Yesterday when we finished an afternoon walk, Shawn suggested another today. I texted her when we were home from church. We did not walk. Shawn tested positive for COVID an hour before. At least the three of them had it closely together.
