Gazing in the distance, I
recall happy memories and
allow my creative spirit to enter.
Facing the sky now, the
clouds form shapes and
the child in me finds objects.
Little children enjoy the game
Of naming the shapes they see.
A face. An angel. A hand.
My head to the side now,
I spy a running dog. And
just as quickly, it is gone.
Recalling those lazy summer
days in the Sturbridge backyard.
Carefree. Imaginations flow.
Calm and content. Everything is
perfect for this moment. Warmth
flows within. I sigh happily as
the smell of pot roast tickles my
nostrils. Anticipation of dinner.
I extend a note of gratitude to
all my readers and followers on
WordPress as I celebrate 7 years
of blogging. Thank you all.
Seven years! Congratulations xoxo beautiful post

Congratulations! I have followed you a long time, but not for seven years. It could be five or six, though. It has been a pleasure. oxox

Anne-thank you so much. You have followed me since June 30, 2017 which is a long time. The feeling is mutual: it has been a pleasure chatting with you over the years. Glad you enjoyed the post. Did you get any of the tropical storm Elsa this week? I guess we had rain here. Our daughter had winds and rains. Enjoy the weekend. Be well. oxox

Yes, it has been fun getting to know you and your family. We had a thunderstorm yesterday, but I don’t think it was related to Elsa. Daughter Kate had a bit of Elsa in NJ.

Anne, love chatting with you. Our daughter felt Elsa on LI as well with winds and rain. Such is the life of a hurricane/tropical storm. Be well. oxox

We knew LI was being hit. John’s sister is there, along with half her children and half her grandchildren. oxox

Our daughter reported winds and rain. What about your sister and her family? oxox

We didn’t hear from them, so we presumed they were ok.

Hit send too soon. Wanted to wish you a good weekend. John and David are on their way to the train club in TN, being flown over by a church friend! oxox

Fancy, fancy being flown over by a church friend. Do pilots in your vicinity have to watch out for winds with small aircraft. My husband loves trains as well. We nurtured that love when our kids were younger. Enjoy the weekend. oxox

I’m sure winds in the mountains can be capricious. This morning they were watching fog on the ground. We’re having a thunderstorm right now as my fellows start flying home. It should be fine by the time they get here. My fingers are crossed that David was able to get some photos today. oxox

I agree with strong winds in the mountains as we had in CO. Hope the thunderstorm does not impact the home flight. If David got some photos, you can make a blog post with them. oxox

They are on the ground and driving home. They might be too tired to talk about it much.

Liebe Mary Ann,

Bleib gesund! Meine besten Wünsche an Lilly. Grüße an Deine Familie!
Alles Gute und Liebe

I started blogging in January 2014, so just over eight years. I don’t post as often as I used to or as often as I’d like but family must come first! I hope you have a lovely week too. xoxo

Clare, the same year as I but in Jan. instead of July. Great. Yes, family first. Understood. We have lots of rain in the forecast so I go around pulling up weeds everywhere afterwards. I get roots and all. Be well. oxox
