Even as snow covers the ground, there
is hope of spring -it will finally arrive.
Rampant, worldwide pandemic affects
all of us; yet, there is hope, HOPE.
Look into the eyes of a child anticipating
gifts for birthdays and holidays. You see
hope. Mother Nature plays her
games this month; yet there is hope, hope.
For many, this is Good Friday when we
remember the suffering and death of our
Lord. Still, we have faith and know
He is with us today and always. Hope.
Even in these times of trouble, there remains
a floating sensation as if our burdens have been
removed. We anticipate with a sense of
calm now. For, yes, we know there is hope.
We are all in this together, playing our part.
With clasped hands, we pray this Easter. There
are signs of spring and hope: the flowers,
the buds on trees and birds building nests.
With renewed faith that a cure will be
discovered, we remain steadfast. Common
sense informs us of that cure as we hold our loved
ones close. Sustained hope, hope remains.
“Where there is life there is hope,” Professor Stephen Hawking.

Darlene, thank you for the great comment and quote. ‘Tis true: “where there is live; there is hope” – an expression of the dauntless human spirit. May you be safe and healthy during this pandemic. Enjoy the weekend and Easter if you celebrate that. “”__””

Thanks, Mary. It will be a quiet Easter for sure. But I bought some chocolate Easter eggs for hubby and will bake a cake. It will be different with no Easter egg hunt this year. We could still do it but I’m afraid the dog would find them all and chocolate is not good for her. Stay safe as well. xo

You have chosen a very fitting title for your blog this morning, Mary Ann. “Sustained hope, hope remains” is a thought-provoking statement, especially in these trying times. The timing is also perfect as we are now entering the Easter weekend associated with hope and faith in a better life to come. Happy Easter to you and your family!

There is a Latin saying – I believe by Cicero: dum spiro spero. While I am breathing, I am hoping. Happy Easter to you and your family!

Anne, yes to the snow. The eternal struggle between winter and spring here. We have also had beautiful, sunny days to enjoy – briefly until Mother Nature drops snow upon us. Happy Easter to you and yours. May you enjoy more porch days ahead! oxox

We’ve started Easter with gray skies and rain to come, along with low temps. At least we know He is risen! He is risen, indeed! Hallelujah!

Anne – Overcast, warm and then from Tuesday on, snow in the forecast here. He is risen. Hallelujah! Peace and blessings today. Will cook our traditional standing rib roast with pan roasted potatoes. Please be safe and healthy during this pandemic. oxox

We’re having ham, the Mehrling tradition. Some friends in NY have not gone out to shop, so they are grilling hamburgers today. They will have gone to church on line, as have we. Blessings to y’all!

Anne, sounds like a delicious tradition. We ordered our roasts, etc. online and get grocery deliveries too. No going out to stores for us. Church online. Maybe you would like to hear the bells sounding from the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ0rCgwynB4&fbclid=IwAR0h7YijHP35cKyRWuMjkGcc-jATP6vWGNSsIA_sufyl5e_jCWVYQ7eRfNM

Fantastic! Thank you. The bells are beautiful. We were in Cologne Cathedral almost forty years ago.
