November means gratitude
Gratefulness for friends and food,
for family interludes
with colorful Autumn-hued
leaves and flowers – all valued.
Nature brings beauty, exudes.
You’d might conclude, we are cued:
Thanksgiving of plentitude.

What a wonderful way to give thanks to the Lord our God! I remember the German lines of gratefulness from my childhood years.

Thank you for the wonderful comment. I love the German prayer cube I brought back from Neresheim during my first Fulbright year. Wonderful wood with prayers on all sides. Bless you and have a great weekend.

Thank you. I had to search the neighborhood for the leaf colors. That form of poem is a Welsh one I chose with rules of rhymes and number of stanzas. Fun to try too. I appreciate your kind words.

Sugar maples are gorgeous trees. For a brief period, we enjoy the leaves. Then they create a colorful carpet and work for us after winds and cold rains bring them down. Life cycles are so interesting. Thank you for the kind words.
